Are you responsible for overseeing the safety of workers at heights? LJB’s Competent Person Fall Protection course is designed for supervisors, safety professionals and managers who need to implement and manage an effective fall protection program. This advanced-level training prepares participants to identify and mitigate fall hazards, ensure regulatory compliance, and serve as the designated Competent Person as defined by OSHA and ANSI Z359.2 standards.
This comprehensive course combines in-depth classroom instruction with practical, hands-on training. In compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 requirements, the course includes interactive exercises and a real-world application. Participants will leave with the skills and confidence needed to evaluate work-at-height risks, inspect equipment and lead fall protection efforts on the job site.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
A written exam and practical evaluation are required. Upon successful completion, participants will earn a Competent Person certificate and IACET CEUs. Certification is valid for two years and maybe renewed through refresher training.
