In this training course, participants develop the knowledge and practical skills required to serve as a fall protection qualified person as defined by OSHA and ANSI Z359.2 standards. Instructors lead you through the process of designing and certifying three active fall protection systems, ensuring you gain hands-on experience with real-world scenarios. You will then apply what you've learned by independently designing a fall protection system tailored to your organization's needs, which instructors will review and evaluate.
This comprehensive course combines in-depth classroom instruction with practical, hands-on training. In alignment with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 requirements, the curriculum incorporates interactive exercises and real-world applications. Participants will leave equipped with the confidence and capability to assess work-at-height hazards, implement practical solutions, and design certified active fall protection systems.
Upon successful completion, participants will earn a Qualified Person certificate along with IACET CEUs. In accordance with ANSI Z359.2, Qualified Person training is valid until changes to the fall protection program necessitate training.

Who should attend:Anyone responsible for design-related projects and whose work involves addressing fall protection issues and supervising workers at heights, including safety engineering professionals, project engineers, facilities engineers, and civil, structural, mechanical, stress, electrical, and chemical design engineers. Although not a requirement, a background in engineering and current Competent Person training is strongly recommended as a prerequisite for this course.
